Family-run since 1985, Adamantia Hotel has its roots in one of Paxos' most established families. The hotel's story began when Adamantia, a woman deeply connected to the island's heritage, gifted her 17th-century mansion and surrounding grounds to her niece, Martha.
For nearly four decades, the hotel has been lovingly managed by the same family. Parents and children work side by side, offering genuine hospitality and personal attention to every guest, ensuring their holiday is both unforgettable and deeply relaxing.
In 1985, Martha and her husband opened the doors of the beautifully restored mansion, naming it in honour of Aunt Adamantia. Over the years, the estate expanded, with other buildings transformed into traditional, character-filled island houses.
Set within a protected hilltop village of exceptional beauty, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and only one kilometre from the sea, Adamantia Hotel offers an authentic blend of history, charm, and natural serenity.
Discover the pristine beaches of Vrika and Voutoumi, accessible by speedboat, traditional caiques or small boats from the island's ports. Wander through Antipaxos' time-honoured vineyards, famous for their local varieties, and visit the serene Spring of Kaloiris.
Explore the Castle of St Nicholas, perched on its namesake islet, accessible with permission from the municipal authority. Visit the monastery on Panagia islet and the Church of the Holy Apostles. See the early Christian basilica of Agia Marina in Porto Ozias, located at the end of the coastal road before Moggonisi. Stop by the Paxos Museum and admire historic water cisterns such as Eleoussa in Vlachopoulatika, the Apostles cistern beside its church, and Saints Anargyri's by the same-named chapel. Other highlights include Lesianiti's mill in Tranakatika, the dramatic Medlar Cliffs, the Ostries viewpoint for sunsets, and quiet roads like the one past Agia Paraskevi in Bogdanatika. For swimming, visit Kloni Gouli, Kamini, or Kaki Lagada, or head towards Platano-Loggos from the junction after the new port.
At the edge of the village, beside the Elementary School, stands the old Anemogiannis factory, a glimpse into the island's past. Relax on the unspoilt beaches of Levrechios and Marmari, reached from the Platanos–Fountana road, 100 metres before the village, at the right turn.
Step inside the historic home of Ntrichoutsi in Grammatikeika, reached by turning left on the road to the lighthouse. Continue to the lighthouse itself for sweeping views of the Ionian Sea. Discover Ypapanti Church by taking the road left after the reservoir towards Lakka. Enjoy the clear waters of Monodendri Beach, easily reached from the road above Lakka, opposite St Spyridon Church in Argyratika.
